Our ingredients are GMO-free and certified by The Non-GMO Project. We strive to provide the best possible product to our customers using ingredients from our own farm and manufacturing plant.
All our products are certified Kosher except Organic Jasmine Rice, Organic Basmati Rice, and Organic Brown Rice. The Kosher certification is provided by the EZ Kosher Inspection Service of India, under the supervision of Rabbi David Rafaeli (Israel & India).
We are proud to offer products with Great Taste, Good Value, and Real Convenience, many of which are gluten free. Please note that we do test our products for gluten. Additionally, there is no cross-contamination in our factory. We follow the strict batch process. This allows us to keep ingredients separate. All of our gluten free products have packaging that is clearly marked Gluten Free.​
We do offer many dairy-free options. They are labeled as Vegan.​
The Butter, cream, and milk used in Madras Lentils is homogenized, pasteurized and whole. The Butter, cream, and milk used in Madras Lentils are free from rBST.​
MSG is synthetically derived and a highly concentrated flavor enhancer. We do not add such additives to any of our products.​
Our facility manufactures a variety of products, some of which contain nuts. We make sure that our packing clearly notes if these allergens are present in our products. For example, in the case of Madras Lentils and Channa Masala, there are no nuts. Please know that there is no cross-contamination at our facility. Although the facility also processes nuts, soy, wheat, and dairy, we are FDA and ISO certified which regulates the areas of processing. We follow the batch process method of production, where each batch is dedicated to one product only. Once the production is done, the production and prep areas are thoroughly cleaned as per HACCP norms. Of course, we recommend that you use your own discretion in regards to our products.​
Our Tasty Bite products are shelf stable. As long as the pouches have not been opened, they do not need to be refrigerated, nor frozen. The pouches are called retort pouches and the preservation process is similar to canning. Therefore you may store the pouches in a cupboard, or pantry, or any other room temperature storage place.​
Tasty Bite is a great companion for many of our outdoor enthusiast consumers. It's great for on the go, inside and out. The products we offer are cooked within the pouch at the factory level and only need to be heated up to enjoy. Therefore you may place the pouches in boiling water to heat up the contents.​
Our products are meant to be stored at room temperature so we would advise against freezing them. Our products should not be frozen in the pouch packaging. However, you may use a separate freezer-safe container. Please be aware that freezing may change the flavor characteristics of the product and we are unable to guarantee the quality of the taste after the contents are frozen.​
You may continue to place Tasty Bite pouches in boiled water to heat up the contents. You may also pour pouch contents into a pan.​
Our packaging is called a retort pouch. This technology allows us to assemble and cook the ingredients within the package. Therefore the product becomes shelf stable for 18 months+. The components that make up the retort technology are not currently recyclable. However we are working with various packaging technologists to research recyclable alternatives while maintaining the Great Taste, Good Value, and Real Convenience that our consumers have come to love.​

Unfortunately we have discontinued our Meal Inspirations (Lentil Magic, Chunky Chickpeas, Zesty Lentils and Peas, and Barley Medley). We apologize for any inconvenience. We have replaced the Meal Inspirations with excellent Asian noodles, flavorful rices, and bold, delicious Indian and Thai Entrees.​
The Best By date noted on our pouches is the recommended industry standard of 18 months from our manufacture date. This is the date to which we guarantee freshness. However, studies have shown that our products remain shelf-stable up to 18 months after the date noted on the package or 36 months from manufacture. Please note the package shows a "best by" date and not an expiration date. However, we do not guarantee the product after the date on the pouch. Of course, we ask that you use your discretion when making your decision, as we cannot see the actual product.​
